DESCRIPTION:Welcome GRABAAWR bicyclists!  \nLong distance cycling enthusiasts will be stopping in Muscoda on Saturday June 17 as they complete the last segment of a ride that started in Eagle River\, WI and ends at Prairie du Chien\, WI. GRABAAWR\, the GReat Annul Bicycle Adventure Along the Wisconsin River\, is an annual 7-day\, 500 mile ride that follows the length of the Wisconsin River. Riders average 70 miles per day and are treated to rest stops and overnight stops along their route. \nREST STOP FUNDRAISER: A rest stop sponsored by 1891 Financial Life’s (formerly National Catholic Society of Foresters) St. Mary Court 868 will be set up at Riverdale High School as a fundraiser for Riverway Communities of Hope (RcoH). St. Mary Court 868 members will be ready to provide riders with hometown hospitality and refreshments. \nThe rest stop will provide breakfast for riders who camped overnight at the school – they’ll be available Saturday morning\, June 17 from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. \nFor this sponsored event\, 1891 Financial Life will match all funds raised up to $1\,500. Funds raised will go to Riverway Communities of Hope (RCoH) to help provide mental health counseling for youth of SW Wisconsin who need services but can’t afford them. \nABOUT RCoH:  Riverway Communities of Hope (RCoH) is a 501c3 non-profit organized in Southwest Wisconsin to address the needs of area youth with substance abuse and mental health treatment. All funding for assessment or counseling appointments\, for after school activities or for transportation is covered through donations or money raised through the efforts of Riverway Communities of Hope volunteers. Hosted by Holy Ghost Court 228\, in Dickeyville\, Wisconsin. \nDAYS:  May 26\, 2023 to May 29\, 2023 \nTIME: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day \n1891 Financial Life will match up to $1\,500 of funds raised. \nAbout the Grotto  \nThe Dickeyville Grotto & Shrines are located on the grounds of the Holy Ghost Parish in Dickeyville\, WI. They are the works of Father Matthias Wernerus\, a German-American priest who served the parish from 1918 until his death in 1931. The main Grotto is an artificial cave created out of stone\, mortar\, and brightly colored materials and found objects collected from all over the world. It was built without the use of blueprints\, and is supported underground with almost as much material as is visible above ground. It was dedicated on September 14\, 1930. \nGenerous donations support the ongoing maintenance of these works. Please consider making a donation today!
